Computech Middle School is a public school in Fresno, California. The school is technology-oriented, and computer-related subjects are mandatory. It is a National Blue Ribbon School, and received the award in 1990–1991, 1994–1996, 2001–2002, and 2008-2009. The school was recognized as a California Distinguished School in 2009. It is regarded as very good school throughout Fresno. Students enrolled in Computech were hand-picked depending on their high STAR (Standardized Testing and Reporting) report. Many of the students that are selected are often enrolled in a GATE (gifted and talented education)class or school. As of the 2008-09 school year there were 756 students enrolled and 22 teachers on site. Computech is located just south of Edison High School (Fresno, California). Computech Middle School is a Magnet Middle School.
